Summer holiday with the family

Pony riding with the Kids Club takes place 2-3 times a week in the morning or in the afternoon - depending on the weather. The whole family is welcome here. Each child is allowed to ride a pony. As we pay great attention to the welfare of our animals, pony riding does not take place in heavy rain or extreme heat.

Together as a family you can create cool handicrafts and works of art in the upcycling workshop. Dates and registration on site at the Kids Club. Participation is of course free of charge.

The absolute highlight for young and old - between 3 and 5.30 pm, the animals (except cows) are fed and "put to bed" by keeper Erika at the resort. The reception will tell you the exact time. The special thing about it - you can be there as a family every day and help out. Free of charge and without registration, of course. Our cows are fed by farmers Alfons, Hubert or Tobias in the late afternoon or early evening. You can meet our farmers in the barn and find out the exact times from them. From mid-June to mid-September, some of our cows are on pasture, the rest graze directly in our village and can be visited on leisurely walks.

Get to know each other, have a good time, get into conversation - the cozy campfire area at the new adventure playground offers the perfect opportunity to review the exciting day's vacation and enjoy the evening with your loved ones. You can play games, sing songs, grill sausages and bread on a stick, and much more. Dates and registration at the Kids Club. Participation is of course free of charge.

The waterfall trail is a 4 km long trail created by the Austrian Alpine Association (ÖAV) and leads you up close to the natural spectacle of the Krimml waterfalls with numerous viewpoints and pulpits.

Suitable for young and old, suitable for buggies

You can park your car at Gasthof Siggen. From there, you can take a leisurely stroll along a wide forest path to Blausee. The path is easy to negotiate with our Thule buggy.

Walking time: approx. 20 minutes (one way)

Suitable for young and old

You can park your car at Gasthof Schütthof. However, this is not a public car park and may be subject to a charge! After just a few minutes' walk, you will see the Untersulzbach waterfall. The gorge, which is around 80 metres deep, is accessible via an interesting circular hiking trail with many viewing platforms. The circular trail is relatively steep and can only be walked with a back carrier. It can be slippery in rainy weather.

Walking time: approx. 1 hour

Suitable for adults and children who enjoy hiking and are sure-footed

Start from the Hopffeldboden car park, which is subject to a charge. There are two variants of the hike: either via the Venedigerweg (only with a back carrier) or via the wide forest path (suitable for buggies). There are several stamp stations for the kids on the Venedigerweg. When all the stamps have been collected in the pass, there is a small gift at the Berndlalm. You can get the collector's pass from us at reception. If you prefer a more leisurely ride, you can take the Täler-Taxi (registration required no later than the day before). The Berndlalm is catered. Please note the opening times.

Suitable for adults and children who enjoy hiking and are sure-footed

From the car park at the barrier, a pleasantly wide and easy forest path leads to the Baumgartenalm. The Baumgartenalm is catered. Please note opening times. If you don't want to walk, you can also take the Täler-Taxi. Pre-booking required until the day before.

Walking time: approx. 1.5 hours (one way)

Suitable for young and old

The Tauern cycle path starts in Krimml - the place where you can admire the highest waterfalls in Europe - and leads via Zell am See to Salzburg. From the hotel, you can be on the cycle path in around 2 minutes by car. The mostly asphalted routes along the Salzach and the continuous signposting guarantee relaxed cycling fun for the whole family. Due to the gradient, cycling on the Tauern Cycle Path in the direction mentioned is mostly downhill, with only a few uphill sections. The cycle path also leads through beautiful forests and offers numerous opportunities for relaxing stops.

Suitable for young and old; bikes, helmets and child seats can be hired free of charge from the hotel.

Wonderful bike trails lead into the national park valleys, for example into the Habachtal, the Ober- and Untersulzbachtal or the Krimmler Achental with the highest waterfalls in Europe. Saddle up and face the sun on tours in the three sunny valleys - the Mühlbach, Dürnbach and Trattenbach valleys. Depending on your riding ability, almost all of these routes are suitable for bikes with bike trailers. If you have any questions, we will be happy to advise you.

The route leads from Neukirchen via the Gensbichl valley station to the Wildkogelbahn mountain station. This circular trail offers continuous biking pleasure from Neukirchen and Bramberg to the Wildkogel and back again. The trail has a maximum gradient of 13%. All e-bikers can charge their batteries at the Wildkogelbahn mountain station in the mountain restaurant.

Route: Full circular route approx. 29 km, approx. 1,300 metres in altitude

Suitable for parents and children with trail experience and very good riding skills

Approx. 15 minute drive from the hotel. There are 3 indoor courts, a squash hall and 4 outdoor courts. Please contact reception to book an appointment.

Approx. 15 minute drive from the hotel. As a golf hotel, we recommend a few swings on the driving range in Mittersill. You can reach the golf course in about 20 minutes by car. As Habachklause guests you get discounts. We are happy to reserve tee times for you. And if you fancy a change, we can also recommend the Zell am See and Kitzbühel golf courses.
